PALESTINE IN AMERICA’S PALIPALOOZA RETURNS FEATURING AMIRA JAZEERA, DJ NANOOS & MAMA YAYA

Amira Jazeera, DJ Nanoos and Mama Yaya will rock the stage at this year’s Palipalooza! Palestine in America hosts an annual cultural event to help fundraise for our  quarterly magazine. PiA has not hosted an event since 2019 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s event will be hosted in Chicago at La Estrella Mini Mart and tickets are available at PalestineinAmerica.com for $20. 

Palestine in America is publishing its first Film Edition

Palestine in America is finalizing our first Film Edition. Ryah Aqel (she/her), cultural producer, writer, and multimedia artist, will use her expertise to be our guest editor.

In 2020, she produced Darine Hotait and Hala Alyan's TALLAHASSEE, distributed by The New Yorker. She was previously a Sundance Institute Knight Foundation fellow and a Sundance Institute Women in Film Finance & Strategy Intensive fellow.

Breaking down politics edition during UNBOUGHT POWER HOUR

Palestine in America is finalizing our Politics Edition and we are excited to announce our partnership with UNBOUGHT POWER’s Rasha Mubarak. The Palestinian-American Muslim community activist, consultant, political strategist, and leader will take on the guest editor role. Mubarak will have the task of writing our letter from the editor, deciding on our Palestinians You Should Know and much more!

PYM Responds to Cancellation of Ghassan Kanafani Resistance Arts Scholarship Celebration in Toronto Due to Zionist Pressure

The Palestinian Youth Movment was dismayed to receive word that Trinity St.-Paul’s United Church in Toronto caved to a smear and harassment campaign initiated by a Zionist organization and opted to cancel the upcoming celebration of the PYM’s annual Ghassan Kanafani Resistance Arts Scholarship on July 13th, 2019.
