Palestine in America held its first ever ‘Unplugged’ event
Palestine in America held its first ever “Unplugged” event on New Year’s Eve. The event was held at Watan Studio in Chicago’s southwest suburb, Orland Park.
The night was a success with performances from Palestinian artists Aymen Trouble of Dexter Danger and Jumana Al-Qawasmi. Before each performance, the artists were interviewed and given the chance to share their stories on what inspired their music and art.
PiA Unplugged seeks to bring together youth and young adults from various backgrounds to experience the vibrant culture of the Palestinian American community. With the launch of the Unplugged series, PiA plans to continue hosting the event in Chicago and cities across the United States.
