American Muslims for Palestine award student activists at annual dinner
American Muslims for Palestine’s (AMP) annual I Am Al Quds fundraiser brought together Muslims from all over the Chicagoland area in a night of cultural revival and celebration at the Belvedere Chateau in Palos Hills, Illinois.
During the night, student groups Students for Justice in Palestine at Northwestern University, Loyola University of Chicago in Illinois and DePaul University were awarded grants.
Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Nihad Awad, who emphasized the importance of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, Mosque Foundation’s Sheikh Jamal Said and AMP National Director Osama Abu Irshaid each spoke, during the fundraiser.
