Max Blumenthal, Rania Khalek expose Israeli Propaganda

During the first day of American Muslims for Palestine’s (AMP) conference, journalists Max Blumenthal and Rania Khalek spoke at a session,“Exposing Israeli Propaganda: Exposing the Lies and Pushing Back with the Truth.”

Blumenthal and Khalek both discussed how social media plays a role in debunking Israeli propaganda.

“Because of social media, we are able to have this bigger platform to report on parts of Israel,Palestine that are not normally reported on,” Khalek said.

She emphasized the importance of non-mainstream media outlets, like Electronic Intifada and Mondoweiss.

Blumenthal, who spoke before Khalek, discussed Israeli rhetoric and its use of propaganda. He also touched on how Israel resembles DAESH.

“We need to turn around the propaganda, we need to advance our arguments and take them out of this room,” Blumenthal said.
